Official Partner of the Homecoming Scotland
Polish Cultural Festival official Partner of the Homecoming Scotland
We can now proudly announced to be a part of the Homecoming Scotland Celebration.
Homecoming Scotland 2009 is an events programme celebrating Scotland's great contributions to the world. In 2009 join us to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth, Scottish contributions to golf & whisky, plus our great minds and innovations and rich culture and heritage.
Why Polish Cultural Festival became a part of the celebration.
Polish Cultural Festival will do much to recognise role which the Polish community has in shaping Scotland’s rich and varied cultural life. During the festival week we will explore Polish-Scottish history, hear the stories of the generations of Poles who have chosen Scotland as their home. Together with our Scottish friends during Polish Cultural Festival we will celebrate not only Polish cultural richness but also Scotland as a country of opportunity, being proud to be ‘Scottish’ Poles.
Regardless of background, we are all modern Scots and we all share in the social, economic and cultural benefits that diversity brings. The diverse nature of modern Scotland is something that we all embrace and are proud of. Diversity is a strength not a weakness and coming together as different communities allows us to break down the perceived barriers of the past and develop new relationships based on mutual respect, trust and understanding.
